RE-OPENING OF IN-PERSON BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL ACTIVITIES

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Mississauga Southwest Baseball Association Inc. ("MSBA") is re-opening its in-person baseball and softball activities as of July 11, 2020. There is a lot of information in this letter. Please read THE RE-OPEN LETTER carefully.

 

BASEBALL ONTARIO DECLARATIONS & WAIVERS

All participants MUST complete the following documentations available through Baseball Ontario’s ON DECK.

    1) Declaration of Compliance Covid-19

    2) Assumption of Risk (Under 18 years of age) or Waiver (18 years of age and older)

RETURN TO PLAY CHECK LISTS:

UPDATE JUNE 26, 2020

MSBA is still shut down for practice and play until at least July 3rd.  We have approved a Return to Baseball protocol for MSBA which can be found HERE.  We are now working on the implementation of plans and documents to put the protocol into action.  We are working on creating a quick reference guide for parents, players, coaches and umpires. We will be meeting on June 30th and will follow that up with an announcement to all parents, players, coaches and umpires.

JUNE 14 UPDATE:

MSBA is still shut down for practice and play until July 3rd at the earliest. We are  consulting with the City of Mississauga and reviewing what recent Province of Ontario and Baseball Ontario announcements mean for MSBA. We will be meeting on June 25th and will follow that up with an announcement to all parents, players, coaches and umpires.  Stay tuned for further updates.
