This is a hands-on role at the heart of everything we do — keeping our facilities in top shape, supporting our snack bar and BBQ operations, coordinating facility rentals, and making sure our facility is ready for every pitch.

MSBA South Blue Jays who captured the U22 Junior title
House League All Stars Showcase
Our top Rookieball, Tyke and Peewee house league players competed in our first ever all-star games on August 8. Over 100 spectators were on hand at the rookieball game alone, which featured several outstanding defensive plays by both teams.
The tyke and peewee games showcased some of our program’s best pitchers. The games were so much fun and such a success that we are already working on making this an annual event!
Hurricanes Capture Bronze
What an incredible finish to an unforgettable weekend!
Competing against U17 softball teams from across Ontario, our Mississauga Southwest Hurricanes battled through every challenge and proudly brought home the Ontario Summer Games Bronze Medal.
Hurricanes Soar!
Our U13 Select MSBA Hurricanes had a great weekend at the Mississauga Majors U13 Select Tournament on July 11, battling through tough competition to earn a 3rd place finish! The team showed determination, resilience, and outstanding teamwork all weekend long. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and families on a well-deserved podium finish. Go Canes!
Hurricanes are GOLDEN!
Congratulations to our U17 Tier 2 Hurricanes team on winning GOLD in their pool at the Provincials!! After a full year of training it was nice to see their efforts rewarded!! Great work ladies!
Congratulations to the Peewee Rays
Winners of our mid-season house league tournament. The Rays edged the Yankees in a championship game that featured several spectacular plays – including a diving catch of a long fly ball in left field. The defence was so strong by both teams that the final game took only 77 minutes to play!
Congratulations to the Tyke Orioles
Champions at our June mid-season tournament. The Orioles downed the Pirates in a final game that featured lots of great hitting by both teams. The Pirates won over the Cardinals in one semi-final and the Orioles edged the Dodgers in the other. The tournament featured many close, exciting games. Four games were decided by one run – we even had three ties! It was a fun weekend of baseball for all 16 our tyke and peewee teams!

Consider becoming a certified umpire
All umpires in Ontario are certified by the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA), with local associations such as the Mississauga Southwest Baseball Association guiding umpires through this process.
There is no minimum age requirement to become an umpire. Umpire will require ability to travel to nearby diamonds, as well as their own email address to remain in contact with the Umpire-In-Chief. (Parents can be copied on communications.)
