What are the age groups for each division for the 2026 Season?

11U Tyke – born in 2015 or 2016.
13U Peewee – born in 2013 or 2014.
15U Bantam – born in 2011 or 2012.
18U Midget – born in 2008, 2009 or 2010.

When does the season start and end?
Tykes and Peewees play their first games the week of May 18 and final games by August 16.

Bantams and Midgets play their first games the week of May 11 and final games by mid/ late August.

How often do the teams play and practice?
Tykes and Peewees play once each week. Bantams and Midgets play one or two games each week.

Tykes play Wednesdays and Peewees play Tuesdays.

Bantam & Midget games are Monday thru Thursday and vary each week from team to team.  All teams practice once per week.

Each team’s practice day is selected by their coach in early May.

Are there any weekend tournaments?
Tykes & Peewees play two Friday/Saturday tournaments, one on June 12 – 14 and one August 14-16.

Bantams and Midgets playoffs are played tournament style over nine days in mid/late August.

What equipment is required?
Players must provide their own baseball glove, helmet, protective cup & footwear. Most players wear rubber-soled cleats but running shoes are permitted. Uniforms and all other equipment are provided.

Can my son (or daughter) be on the same team as their friend(s)?
Usually yes. Both players should mark their one specific request on their registration forms. In past seasons we have been able to accommodate the great majority of the requests we have received.

How are the teams balanced?
All new and returning tyke, peewee and bantam players are asked to attend an Evaluation Day at Tom Chater on Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 am (Tykes), 1:30 PM (Peewees) and 4:00 (Bantams).

Does everyone receive the same amount of playing time?
Yes. Although this will vary from one game to the next, over the course of the season all players that show up consistently should play equally.

Do I have to live in a certain geographic area to play House League baseball?
All players must be residents of Mississauga.

When and where are the games played?
Tykes and Peewees play at (or near to) Tom Chater Park, 3195 The Collegeway.Tykes play Wednesdays and Peewees play Tuesdays.

Bantams and Midgets play Monday thru Thursdays, mostly at South Common Park (3501 Glen Erin Drive).

How will I be notified in the spring?
Everyone who has signed up on our website for the MSBA newsletter will be notified by e-mail in mid-April. Notices will also be posted on our website www.msbabaseball.ca. Please note we are not able to contact all 225 players individually.
