Tom Chater Park feature two batting cages, located adjacent to the south diamond. The cage beside the south diamond can be reserved for softball players. The other cage closest to the pathway can be reserved for hardball players. Cages are only available to members of MSBA and can be reserved for an hour at a time.
Batting Cage Rules
- Only rostered MSBA coaches of the current season are permitted to operate the machines.
- Only Head Coaches of MSBA teams from the current season are permitted to reserve the cages.
- ALL equipment MUST be put back in it’s proper place after each session.
- ALL garbage must be disposed of in a proper city container.
- ALL players must wear protective headgear when using the machine.
- IF something breaks , make an effort to fix it. If it is beyond repair , please advise by emailing Jeff Saracini and/or Bruce Thompson.
- Take care of the cages and equipment as if it was your own.
- Respect other team’s space if you are sharing the cages with another team.
- North Cage is BASEBALL ONLY, South Cage is SOFTBALL ONLY.
